Most of us have heard or been told the phrase ‘don’t cry over spilt milk’ at some point in our lives. Basically, it means not to dwell on past mistakes. So, what do we do? We mop up the milk (fix or forget about the mistake) and move on to our next adventure. In that frenzied rush to fix things, we forget to ask ourselves a crucial question. Why did the milk spill in the first place???

While it’s great to set things right. look ahead and move on, we must also look back just long enough to find out where & why things went wrong. What can be avoided or done differently next time? Where were the potholes and how can we avoid them? In short, how can we ensure the same mistakes don’t get repeated over and over again. Success is as much about ‘correcting’ as it is about ‘preventing’.
